Gratitude in the Making

Hi friends,
November has always felt like an invitation to pause — to breathe, to look around, and to recognize the good that quietly surrounds us. The harvests may be gathered, but gratitude keeps growing if we tend it.
In the studio, gratitude shows up in unexpected ways. It’s in the warmth of the kiln on a cool morning, in the laughter echoing during a class, in the glaze drips that somehow turn out better than planned. It’s in the stories people share as they paint, the friendships formed at the tables, and the quiet satisfaction that comes when a piece finally feels right in your hands.
Gratitude has a texture to it — like smooth clay turning under steady palms. It reminds me to notice the small, ordinary miracles that fill my days: a loyal dog curled at my feet, a mug still warm from coffee, the hum of creation all around me.
This month, I’m thankful for you — for this growing community of makers, dreamers, and friends. You remind me that art doesn’t end when the kiln cools; it continues in the homes and hearts that hold it.
Here’s to creating with gratitude — for what we’ve made, what we’ve learned, and what’s still taking shape.
With muddy hands and a warm heart,
Cris
