In this 2 day camp for school age young artists, you will discover Georgia O'Keefe, one of the world's most important artists. As you learn about Georgia and her art, you will find inspiration to make drawings, paintings and hand build a clay bowl based on her unique style.
On Day 1, learn about Georgia's paintings, hand build a clay bowl with the traditional pinch pot method, enjoy a story about Georgia and experiment with large scale drawings and watercolor paintings of flowers. You will be enjoying bright, bold colors!
On Day 2, you will use ceramic glazes (food safe, dishwasher + microwave safe) to add glossy color to your handmade bowl and create an acrylic painting on canvas inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's most famous paintings. Aprons and all materials provided. Bring a drink and a snack…
