Event Highlights:

Discover the creative connection between words and clay in this unique poetry and pottery workshop.

We'll begin by exploring ekphrastic poetry—writing inspired by works of art—and learn how artists and writers have long sparked one another's creativity.

Then, you'll hand-build your own pottery piece, using the tactile process of shaping clay as inspiration for an original poem or creative writing piece. No prior experience with poetry or pottery is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to create.

What you will Learn:

Participants will learn about ekphrastic writing (writing about artwork) and how to hand build a piece of pottery that will be used to inspire a creative writing piece.
